The rear pannier rack was designed from the ground up to fit your Helix perfectly. The innovative top rail is retractable and moves out of the way to facilitate folding and rolling your bike when folded. The rack can support 40lbs of cargo.

The system is lightweight. The rack struts function as the base of the system to allow for 3 configurations: rack only (800g), rack and mudguard (910g) or mudguard only (570g). In each of these configurations, the system is the lightest possible (weights include all mounting hardware).

All three configurations allow for your Helix to roll when folded and fit in the travel case. They also facilitate our largest tire, the Kenda Small Block 8 Pro which is a 1.5" wide cylcocross/off road tire. This is a zero compromise solution offering the very best pannier rack and mudguards on a folding bike.

The mudguards offer full protection covering the front wheel 122mm (4.75") below the axle and the rear wheel 50mm (2") above the axle ensuring your feet stay dry and riders behind you won't get sprayed. Both front and rear mudguards use a detachable rubber coated nylon spray apron on their trailing edge.

The front mudguard attaches to the fork with a stainless steel strap and a lower strut attached to the lower brake stud to secure the mudguard rigidly. The front mudguard weighs 305g including all mounting hardware. Installation requires the front stainless steel strap to be mounted with 1 screw and the lower strut mounting bracket with 1 screw, installation takes about 5 minutes and does not require the removal of the front wheel or any other parts.

The rear rack attaches to the swingarm with a mounting bracket using 2 screws at the front and 2 screws which attach to the dropouts and another 2 screws which attach to the included titanium mounting plates. Installation requires the rear wheel to be removed for the front bracket and rear mounting plates to be installed. Installation takes approximately 15 minutes. After installation of the mounting bracket and plates, removal and re-installation can be done in about 2 minutes with 6 screws.

The rack and mudguards use stainless steel struts, 6061 aluminum and stainless steel CNC machined parts and all stainless screws and lock nuts. The mudguards are our own custom injection molded design made from extremely durable and UV resistant polypropylene following the industry's standard that is used by the top fender companies.

The rack is compatible with most pannier bags and top mount bags. The racks retractable top rail and pannier rails are 10mm diameter anodized aluminum. The pedal to pannier bag distance can accommodate up to approximately a men's size 11 shoe depending on the dimensions and adjustability of the pannier bags.
